Melinda Kjarum is the heart and visionary behind Wellspring Woolens. Her journey began with a life-changing encounter in 1997 at the Minnesota State Fair, where a single Icelandic ram sparked an unexpected path toward sustainable farming, handcrafted woolens, and holistic wellness.
About Us
Wellspring Woolens was born from a serendipitous encounter at the 1997 Minnesota State Fair. Melinda and Jon stumbled upon an extraordinary Icelandic ram named Ragnar, igniting a passion that would forever change their lives. Despite facing the devastation of a tornado in 1998, which tested their resilience, they embraced a new path rooted in sustainability and connection with nature.
Starting with two cherished lambs, Ivan and Inger, they built their dream from the ground up on a humble alfalfa field. Today, the Wellspring Collection stands as a testament to their journey—a place where wellness, mindful living, and handcrafted beauty come together.
